The security and resilience of your data is paramount, and First Contact’s hosting centre is among the most advanced in the world, being SAS-70 audited - a standard designed for publicly-traded companies. Meanwhile, your data is protected by 128-bit Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology, using both server authentication and data encryption to ensure that no one can gain unauthorised access.
Application security
The application is structured so that no First Contact customer can access another customer’s data - ever.
Internal systems security
Advanced security technology is used to protect server access. In addition, our database servers, and your data, are not directly available from the public internet.
Data availability
All customer data is stored on world-class redundant storage RAID disks, and backups are carried out every half an hour, with tapes stored off site in a secure, fire-resistant location.
Physical security
Our hosting centre has redundant electrical generators with a three-day fuel supply, redundant air conditioning units, video surveillance, badge-only access, and the latest water and fire detection systems.
